LOVE MUM
This is the first ever film I worked on at Escape Studios, during pre-production I was involved with storyboarding, concept art, and editing and then took on the role of Lead Animator as production continued.

ABOVE - My final animated shots in the film, we had around 3 weeks to produce the animation and coming out of this project I improved my management skills since it was a shame that so much time was spent on certain shots that ultimately had very little screen time.
RECIPE FOR THE DOUGH
Created under the stress of the deadline, the uncertainty of its purpose and the wonder of Maya's rigging system, the dough underwent numerous trials and errors until it reached the final version in the film. Unfortunately it only appears onscreen for less than a second so here's a breakdown to credit its creation.
The first version had all the characteristics of my first ever rig; I overlooked the necessity of controls and animated on the joints, to mimic the elasticity of dough I flooded the poor mesh with multiple deformers and created a blend shape for its stretched variant.
The final rig was created with the help of my tutor who introduced me to the node editor as a means of polishing up the rigging process; due to time constraints the animation remained on the joints so I animated it and then tested it together with the rig. My tutor went in with a soft modifier to enhance the stretchiness, finally the rig was attached using a rivet constraint and minor adjustments were done using clusters.
